Kajukenbo is a unique martial art that combines the kicks of Karate (KA), the throws of Judo (JU), the submissions of Jiu-Jitsu
(JU), the "vital point
attacks" Kenpo (KEN), and the hands of Boxing (BO). First formed in 1947, It is considered the original mixed martial art. Kajukenbo is a well-rounded combination of modern techniques incorporated through traditional training.
In the Youth Kajukenbo classes, our students are taught effective self-defense; giving them the tools necessary to deal with strangers, bullies, and other confrontations. But our youth students learn more than just self-defense, we have a strong focus on "the eight attributes of Kajukenbo”, and how they can positively impact every aspect of their lives. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling art that allows its student to rely on leverage and technique rather than size and power, giving its student an edge when a self-defense situation goes to the ground. In the Youth Gracie Jiu-Jitsu class, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals are learned while building self-confidence and focus.
