Infinite Fighters
bring home the W's from
the MAIN EVENT's at Fight To
Win: HEAVY HITTERS
For those that
weren't there to catch
the action- here is the
write up on our fighters
matches on F2W: Heavy
Hitters!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By J.R Gordon
on
www.mmabuzz.com
The softball
country venue in Denver,
Colorado hosted the
Fight To Win promotion's
Heavy Hitters show June
18, 2010. This was a
mixed event with three
MMA bout and the rest of
the card being
kickboxing matches
including one women's
bout.
Main
event: RORY O’
FARRELL VS
MICHAEL MOSER in MMA for
the Fight To Win
elimination heavyweight
title. O' Farrell got a
quick takedown into side
control. From there he
used his GNP to set up a
transition to full mount
and once on top he
continued to flurry with
strikes to get the title
winning TKO at :43 of
round one.

NICK LANEY
VS NICK ANDERSON in MMA
in the Co-main event.
Both fighters were busy
early working from the
outside with strikes
with each landing well
with punches and kicks.
Anderson tried to pull
guard but Laney landed
in full mount and used
his GNP to set up an
armbar attempt that
Anderson defended until
the bell sounded. Round
two had each fighter
landing hard shots
before Laney got in a
head kick that hurt
Anderson. Laney then
followed with a body
kick that dropped
Anderson. On the ground
Laney landed several
punches to get the TKO
win at :59 of round two.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few notes...
For those that didn't
know, Rory took this
fight out of his weight
class. The day before
weigh in's, his opponent
admitted that he
couldn't make the agreed
fight weight of 205lbs.
Not only was he going to
miss weight by a few
lb's, he came in at 230
POUNDS!!! This fight was
then set to be the Fight
to Win Heavyweight
title, as opposed to the
Light Heavyweight title.
Thomas WAS slated to
fight on this card. He
put in a stellar
camp, made weight, had
his hands wrapped, and
just as they were about
to put the gloves on-
his opponent pulled
from the fight. Its very
unfortunate that this
happened, but in this
sport it does happen...
Kudos to Thomas for
rolling with the
punches. We will get him
another match soon!!!
All and all a great
night for our Team,
congrats to Nick and
Rory!!!

head control to
transition to the back,
then she jumped to
standing back control

Submission of the

IMMAA Professor
Royce Gracie's April
visit!
On Saturday, April 24th
IMMAA Head Instructor
Royce Gracie was back on
the mats to teach
classes and evaluate
students! Over the
weekend several seminars
took place and every
student in attendance
gained some great new
techniques and insights
to the art of Gracie
Jiu-Jitsu directly from
one of the most
respected and renowned
Instructors in the world
or martial arts!
At the end of the
seminars, Royce
evaluated and promoted
many IMMAA students!
Lots of new stripes on
white and blue belts, 6
new blue belts, 3 new
purple belts, and last
but not least IMMAA
Instructor Adam
Martinez, direct student
under Royce for 14 years
was promoted to brown
belt!
Congratulations to all
of the students
promoted! One of the
greatest honors in the
world of martial arts is
to earn rank directly
under this systems founding
family. While it is a
notoriously more
challenging road to take
given the higher
standards; there is no
path respected equally.
Royce was incredibly
impressed by the
technique displayed by
the students at IMMAA,
as our
Academy is
defining the art of
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu the way
his father, Helio
Gracie, meant for it to
be taught.
GO TEAM
INFINITE!!!

We have over 700 photos
from the Royce seminars
on our Academy's Flickr
page!
Students that did the
seminar should be sure
to check out the site to
get photos of themselves
in action with Royce!

IMMAA at Pan Ams!
April 8th, 9th, 10th,
and 11th the worlds
largest BJJ tournament,
the Pan American
Championships was held
in Irvine, California.
Competitors flocked from
all over the globe to
test their Jiu-Jitsu
against the worlds best-
and IMMAA was on the
scene again this year
with two competitors.
IMMAA's Nick Laney had a
great showing at the
tournament, winning his
first two matches via
submission, but coming
up short against the 81-man brackets
eventual silver
medalist, a Team
Alliance
protégé! This is a HUGE
accomplishment for a 1st
degree blue belt!!
IMMAA's Chief Instructor
Adam Martinez won the
silver medal in his
division at the Pan Ams!
In the final match he
came up just short by a
few points in a great
back and forth match
against last years
champion. The Pan Ams is
widely regarded as the
highest, and most
prestigious level of
competition in the world
of BJJ- so to take ANY
medal is a great honour
reserved only for the
worlds best
practitioners'.
Congratulations to Adam
for cementing his place
amongst them.

IMMAA would like to
thank MAXMUSCLE of
Loveland for whipping
Adam into competition
shape for this
tournament! MaxMuscle
formulated a diet plan
that got Adam into the
best shape he's been in
since his 20's. Adam
went from 17% body fat
to 9% body fat, he lost
9 lbs of fat and
gained 2 pounds of
muscle dropping from 148
lbs to 141 all within
the span of SEVEN
WEEKS!!! Go check out MaxMuscle in Loveland

Matt Young. All of round
one was fast paced
action with each fighter

Round two saw Young

it off and landed strong
knees in the clinch
before Scraper again
targeted the head with
kicks as the round
ended. Round three had
strong punches from both
fighters to start and
the action continued
with good infighting
from each. Scraper was
able to stun Hartel and
followed with strong
